What if I have several accounts with one Vendor?

I am trying to use quickbooks for my mobile home park and I have several account numbers with one vendor (electric company) how do I specify each separate account within the same vendor?

I'm here to help you sort this out, 1saved4Him.

 

We'll have to create a different profile for each account number. This way, you can specify each account. Here's how:

  1. Click Vendors.
  2. Go to Vendor Center.
  3. Click New Vendor.
  4. Enter the name.
  5. Go to the Additional Info tab, then enter the number in the Account No. field.
  6. Click OK.

You'll have to add a different letter or number since you're unable to add a vendor with the same name. For example, you can add Electric company 1 to the first account number, then Electric company 2 to the next.

 

You can follow the steps above until you're able to enter all account numbers.
