Great to have you here in the Community, @malu-fused-is-co. I’ll share some information about sample deposits and invoices in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

There’s no action needed regarding the sample deposit that has been initiated in QuickBooks Online. If you're using a direct deposit to pay your employee, QBO will initiate a sample deposit to confirm the validity of the bank account.

You can double-check the amount by going online and looking at your bank statement or calling your bank. On your bank statement, the fee will be displayed as "QuickBooks: Verify Bank" or "Intuit: Verify Bank." You can check out this article to learn more about Verify test transaction.

Moreover, regarding your deleted invoice, you can utilize the Audit log to get the information from the deleted invoice and recreate it. This report assists you in keeping track of transactions that have been added, deleted, or amended, as well as user entries. It allows you to view the history of changes made to a single transaction or a group of transactions. It can be adjusted by narrowing down the data using the Filter tool.

Here’s how:

  1. Go to Settings, and select Audit log.
  2. Select the appropriate User, Date, and Events filters from the Filter drop-down menu.
  3. Click Apply.
  4. Locate the deleted transaction.
  5. Click the View button, under the History column.
  6. Under the Event column, you'll find all of the information you'll need for the transaction.

In addition, you can refer to the following articles about using search tools in QuickBooks Online:

Once done, you can utilize these articles to record the invoice payment or match online bank transactions in QuickBooks Online.

Feel free to add a reply if you have further questions in mind regarding deposits. I’ll be around to assist you. Have a great day!
