Question

When I link my Wells Fargo account it's only showing one of my two accounts. Inside Wells Fargo there is no restriction.

Thank you for sharing your concern here in the Community.

Is the account you're trying to connect a parent and a sub-account? Are they of the same type (i.e. checking or credit card)? Have you tried connecting this type of account before?

I am having this similar problem. I have no problem syncing my Wells Fargo checking and savings accounts, but my Wells Fargo Credit Card is not showing up in the accounts despite seemingly having no problem during the account linking process in Quickbooks. It seems to go fine, but then on the account page the Credit Card is not listed as an account and none of the transactions populate. This doesn't seem to affect other Wells Fargo accounts or accounts from other banking institutions.

Let's work together and fix your banking concern, PlantDaddy.

We can start checking the link used to make sure it's correct and go directly to your bank’s website to copy the URL, then paste it into the Enter your bank name or URL search box. Here are the steps:

  1. From the left menu, click Banking
  2. On the Banking page, select Link account.
  3. In the search field, enter the bank's URL you've copied.
  4. Select your bank. You might have to go through these steps again to find the correct one.
  5. Enter your bank login on your bank's website, then select Continue.

We also have to check if there are any system issues at your financial institution. Issues from your bank might be One of the reasons why we can't link it because it can block the connection between your bank and QBO.

In the meantime, we can manually import the bank transactions into QuickBooks Online. You can follow the steps provided in this article: Manually upload transactions into QuickBooks Online (Step 4: Start your upload).
