I'll make sure that you'll be able to reconcile your account, Bobby36.

When reconciling, you only need to select the transactions in the Reconciliation window that appears in your bank statement. If there are missing entries or transactions that don't match your bank statement in the list, you'll want to make sure that you've entered the correct ending date and balance. This way, the program will be able to populate the correct transactions. Here's how:

  1. Click the Gear icon, then choose Reconcile
  2. Select the account you want to reconcile.
  3. Review the beginning balance, then enter the ending balance and ending date on your statement. Some banks call the ending balance a "new balance" or a "closing balance".
  4. Double-check the last statement ending date. This is the end date of your last reconciliation. Your current bank statement should start the day after.
  5. When you're ready to start, click Start reconciling.
  6. Compare the transactions, then go over them one by one.
  7. If they match, put a checkmark next to the amount in QuickBooks. This marks it as reconciled.
  8. When you reach the end, the difference between your statement and QuickBooks should be $0.00.
  9. After that, select Finish now.
