After you deposit the check, you'll need to record it in QuickBooks. Here's one way of doing it.

Record it as an invoice:

  1. Click the + New button.
  2. Select Invoice.
  3. Fill in the required details.
  4. Click Save and close.

After that, we need to receive the payment from the invoice we created:

Thank you. Am I able to deposit to any bank ATM or does it have to be with a bank I have an account with? My business bank account is with Quick Books.

You're very welcome, @sunnyvoltssolars, and thank you for the prompt reply. I'll be happy to share where you can deposit the money and the steps to show it in QuickBooks.

We should deposit the money to your bank account connected to QuickBooks. After that, we'll perform the steps for transferring money into your QB Checking Account.

Here's how:

  1. From the Banking services, select QuickBooks Checking.
  2. Pick Transfer, then Transfer money.
  3. Type in the amount you want to transfer.
  4. Click the From ▼ dropdown, and select your connected bank account.
  5. In the To ▼ dropdown, choose your QuickBooks Checking account.
  6. Tap Next. Then, select Finish transfer.

You can check out this article for more info: Use your QuickBooks Checking account.

Let's use the transfer function to record the entry, Lte4. I'm here to help and show you the steps.

First, you'll need to transfer the funds to your actual bank and make sure it is connected to your QuickBooks account. After that, transfer the amount to your QuickBooks Checking account.

Here's how:

  1. Go to Banking and choose QuickBooks Checking.
  2. Select Transfer and pick the option to transfer money between your accounts.
  3. Enter the amount you wish to move from your account.
  4. In the From field, select (+) and choose your connected bank account.
  5. In the To field, select your QuickBooks Checking account and enter the amount you want to transfer.
  6. When you're ready, click the Finish transfer.
