Where can I download Quickbooks 2012 for Windows. I have a license need to move computers but lost CD

Old computer is having problem. Need to reinstall QB 2012 Windows on a new computer, but lost the CD. I have the other packaging and license number.

The QuickBooks Community has your back. If you were looking for the system requirements for QuickBooks 2012 for Windows, there was no Intuit article available. I did happen to find the short synopsis of them for you thou.

Windows Server 2012

(May work on newer operating systems in Windows 7 compatibility mode, but this is not guaranteed)

Processor:
2.0GHz Pentium 4 processor; 2.4GHz recommended

RAM:
1 GB minimum for client
2 GB or more strongly recommended

Disk space:
2.5 GB (additional space required for data files)

Screen resolution:
Optimized for 1024x768 or higher; supports 800x600 using the Small Fonts setting in Windows Control Panel > Display settings

Minimum network requirements:
100 Mbps network card
100 Mbps switch or router
40 Mbps network bandwidth

QB 2012 cannot run on W8 or W10, as well.

QB Pro 2016 is under $200; your data file is now falling further behind. It might be the right time for the new computer to get a new and Supported and QB updated program.

QuickBooks ran on my Windows 10 computer for years until last night when it died and says that I need to re do IE8 for it to work again. I can't find my original disk and license key.

There different ways to locate the license and product numbers. You can find it:

within QuickBooks
through Customer Account Maintenance Page (CAMPs)
using the License Look Up tool

You can use this link for more information: Find QuickBooks Desktop and Point of Sale product and license info.

Once you've retrieved your license and product numbers, you can go to this link and download the QuickBooks Desktop: https://downloads.quickbooks.com/app/qbdt/products.

Make sure your computer meets the system requirements before installing the program. You can use the links within this article if you're using a different version.

From there, you should be able to install and activate QuickBooks without any issues.

i am using 2012 quickbook version in my macbook pro by mistake i lost my all previous 8 years record first of all i would like to have my all records back and second i open new account on quickbook with same company but it is not working and now quickbook asking me the license number and product number but during my office moving i lost my quickbook cd and license number and product number as well, so plz help meto find my previous record or at least my license number and product number. I'll share the steps on how you can get your QuickBooks license and product number. There are three ways to see your product info, either in the product information window, camps.intuit.com, or our license tool. Here's how.

From the Product Information Window:

Open your QuickBooks.
On your keyboard, press F2.
See your license and product number at the opt of the Product Information window.

To view via CAMPS:

Go to camps.intuit.com
Sign in with your Intuit Account info. This could be different from what you use to sign in to your company file.
Select QuickBooks Desktop.
Find your subscription in the Products & Services list.
Click Details.

Lastly, you can use our license tool to retrieve your info.

Click this link https://emaillicense.quickbooks.com/app/qbdt/licensenumber.
Choose from Business email or Business phone. Then, enter your phone or email address. This is the email and phone number you used when purchasing QuickBooks.
Tap the Find license and product number button.
After that, an email will be sent containing your details. Make sure you're using the primary email address on file.

If you forgot what email address you're using, go back to camps.intuit.com then choose Claim Account. This will let you connect accounts that have different emails.

About recovering your lost data, you can follow the steps found in this article on how to restore a backup of your company file.

HI there. My Canadian company updated my PC recently and I need to reinstall QuickBooks. I had already pressed F2 while running QuickBooks, to found out that it is the "Quickbooks: Premier Contractor Edition 2012 Release R16P". I have written down the license number and product number. I then proceed to this download link

However when I put in the license number and product key, it says "incorrect license/product numbers". I have doubled checked and all numbers are correct. Is this because this version is the wrong version? Please let me know and point me to the correct download link. Thanks!

It is possible you have a license for QB Desktop 2012 CA version, not US version. The download site only provides the installer file of QBD CA version for 2016 version or later.
