Question

Where is the reconciliation action in the recent software update? They changed the side bar. It used to be an element within the banking tab. Now its not.

Thank you for taking the time to post in the Community, @hason_greene. I'll be glad to guide you on how to find the Reconcile tab.

Let me guide you on where to find the reconcile action in the new version of QuickBooks Online.

Here's how:

  1. Go to the Bookkeeping on the left navigation bar and select Reconcile. If you're reconciling for the very first time, select Get started to continue.
  2. From the Account ▼ dropdown, select the account you want to reconcile. Make sure it's the same one on your statement.
  3. Review the Beginning balance. Make sure the beginning balance in QuickBooks matches the one on your statement. Here's what to do if they don't match.
  4. Type in the Ending balance and Ending date on your statement. Some banks call the ending balance a "new balance" or a "closing balance".
  5. If you see it, review the Last statement ending date. This is the end date of your last reconciliation. Your current bank statement should start the day after.
  6. When you're ready to start, select Start reconciling.

I've also added a screenshot for you.

Here's another way you can access the Reconciliation page:

  1. Go to the Gear icon
  2. Select Reconcile

or you can use this one:

  1. Go to the Search bar type in Reconcile.
