Allow me to provide you with a few information and guide the correct entry for your transactions, cthompson4.

Generally, these credit card transactions are debts. The balance you owe increases once you enter the expenses charges you used for the card. The balance goes down by the payments you make. Since these are downloaded transactions, please know QuickBooks depends on what your bank shares with us and how they are posted online. You'll want to exclude those transactions if you're sure that it was posted on the wrong entry. To do this, follow the steps below:

  1. Go to the Banking menu at the left panel. Then, the Banking section.
  2. Select the correct bank account.
  3. Choose the For Review tab.
  4. Put a checkmark on the box(es) of the transactions you want to exclude.
  5. Click the Batch actions drop-down arrow and select Exclude Selected.

Please check this article for more information: Categorize and match online bank transactions in QuickBooks Online. Furthermore, go through this article so you'll know how you can make any changes in your transactions under the Bank register page: Find, review, and edit transactions in account registers.

Keep in touch if you have further questions as to how bank transactions are being posted in your bank register. I'm always right here anytime if you need assistance.
