Question

Why aren't payments/deposits showing when trying to reconcile? Bank account is connected and all months before 11/2020 were able to reconcile as normal.

My bank statements show transactions, but they're not in quickbooks.

Hi @tanya16,

There's a couple of reasons why transactions aren't on the reconciliation page. They're either missing or already marked as reconciled.

To check, you need to open the bank register in question. Here's how:

  1. Go to the Accounting tab.
  2. Use the search box to look for the bank account in question.
  3. Click the View register link.
  4. Look for the transactions in question.
  5. If the transaction is marked with an R, that means it's already reconciled.

This would explain why a transaction is no longer visible on the reconciliation page.

In case you don't see those transactions, then what you can do is upload them by hand. See this article for the steps: Manually upload transactions into QuickBooks Online

If you encounter any issues with the import process, you can refer to this article: Fix bank upload errors in QuickBooks Online. It's a list of usual errors one may bump into when uploading bank transactions, along with specific steps to resolve them.

Feel free to post a reply if you have other questions with reconciliation in QuickBooks Online, and I'll handle it for you.
