When I click the little drop down arrow on the right, nothing happens. No options, no nothing. I can run a report but that's it.

Hi there, justinrana.

I want to make sure you're able to delete tags in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

Since you're stuck while in the process of deleting tags through the drop down arrow, let's see if this is something to do with your browser.

Your browser normally stores data which becomes overwhelmed which potentially affects your browser's performance when navigating in QuickBooks. This mode doesn't use the existing cache data and helps us confirm browser-related issues.

Here's how:

  • For Google Chrome browser: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • For Mozilla Firefox browser: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • For Safari browser: Command + Option + P.

Once done, try deleting the tags again using the steps provided below:

  1. Go to the Gear icon and select Tags.
  2. Scroll-down a little bit to the Tags and Tag Groups section.
  3. Look for the tag that you want to delete.
  4. Click the drop-down list beside Run report, then select Delete tag.
  5. Select Delete.

You also have an option to edit tags if you just need to make changes:

  1. Click the Gear icon and select Tags.
  2. Find the tag or tag group you want to edit.
  3. Select the Action dropdown. Then select Edit tag or Edit group.

If it works, you'd want to clear the cache of your regular browser to delete those temporarily stored files and browsing history. Also, you can use other supported, up-to-date browsers to roll out the possibility of a browser-related issue.
