Question

Why does a payment show as Undeposited Funds on reports? Customer E-Invoiced via QBO. Paid via QBO. Funds deposited to bank. Register reconciled. QBO shows deposit.

I'm routinely paid this way and haven't had this problem. Customer invoiced mid-month and paid next day. Bank got deposit the following day.

You can perform some troubleshooting steps to isolate why the payment shows as Undeposited on the report.

 

To start with, try running the report on an incognito window. It is the safest place to identify browser-related issues. I've added these shortcut keys to open one:

 

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl Shift N
  • Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl Shift P
  • Microsoft Edge: Ctrl Shift P
  • Safari: Command Shift N

 

If the report shows the correct account, you can go back to a regular browser and clear its cache. A piled cache can also be the reason for some unexpected browser-behavior.

 

You also have the option to switch to a different browser like Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Safari, or Microsoft Edge.
