Question

Why does my QuickBooks app forcefully shut down on my phone when I click “yes, that’s all my accounts” in the setup menu to connect bank accounts to QuickBooks?

Great to see you here, @enosenchukusecur.

I understand how challenging it is for you to encounter issues when using QuickBooks Online (QBO) mobile app. Let me provide you with tips on how to resolve them.

You can prevent QBO mobile app errors by clearing your app's data. It allows your app to refresh and avoid common issues that cause the app to shut down.

If you're using Android, this can be done in your phone settings or in the app itself. Here's how:

  • In your phone settings:
  1. Select Apps (varies by device).
  2. From the list, select the QuickBooks app.
  3. Select Storage and click Clear Data.

  • In your QBO mobile app:
  1. Click the menu at the top right corner and select Settings.
  2. Tap Refresh Data.
  3. Select Yes.

If you're an iOS user, you can refer to these steps:

  • In your phone settings:
  1. Select Settings and click on General.
  2. Select iPhone Storage.
  3. Select the app that's consuming a lot of data and click Offload App.

  • In your QBO mobile app:
  1. Tap the menu at the top right corner and select Help & Feedback.
  2. Select Refresh Data.
  3. Select Refresh.

If the error still persists after following the steps above, you can uninstall and reinstall the app. You can do that in the Play Store if you're an Android user, and iStore if you're using an iOS phone.
