Why doesn’t an online payment show up in transactions?

Received email notice that online payment for an invoice had been received, the invoice now shows paid, but the payment doesn’t appear in transactions, and is not reflected in my bank balance

I can provide additional details about receiving online payments in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

 

If you're new to QuickBooks Payments, we'll deposit your payments within 5 business days. Early deposits take time as we set up everything for you. Rest assured once done, we'll deposit your customer payments much faster. 

 

You can also check your deposit speed to know when QuickBooks deposits your funds. Let me show you how.

 

  1. Go to the Gear icon.
  2. Select Account and settings.
  3. Click the Payments tab.
  4. Then review the Deposit Speed section

If this is not the case, I suggest contacting your bank and verify of any updates. It could be there having maintenance issues resulting in your funds being delayed. You can also contact our merchant support team to further assist you in checking the status of your deposits and the cause of the delay.
