For example with different figures than what is. My bank account has a $1000.00 and quickbooks is saying that there should be $5000.00.

I'll help you match the transaction from your bank, @wagenbachwoodcra.

If you have already entered a transaction that should match and QuickBooks match it to a different transaction, I'd suggest manually review and find its match in QuickBooks.

Here's how:

  1. Go to the Banking menu, and then select the For Review tab.
  2. Select the bank transaction to see more info about it.
  3. Review the details under “Record found.” This section shows records you already entered into QuickBooks that it thinks are a match for the downloaded transaction.
  4. When you're sure that the matches are incorrect, select Find the records/Find match.
  5. Check the box of the correct transaction.

That said, this will fix mismatched or miscategorized bank transactions in QuickBooks Online.

I also added an article that can guide you with monthly reconciliation to keep your books accurate: Reconcile an account in QuickBooks Online.
