Hi there. I'll share some steps to help you resolve your bank image concern in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

To start, could you tell me the name of the bank you're having a problem with? That information is helpful so I can check if there are any maintenance issues between them and QBO.

In the meantime, let's perform some troubleshooting steps as it could be related to your web browser. We can start by accessing your QBO account through an incognito mode. This does not store cache which has the potential to become corrupted and cause unexpected behavior.

Below are the shortcut keys you can use:

  • Google Chrome: press Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: press Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Microsoft Edge: press Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Safari: press Command + Shift +N

Once signed in, check if you can now see the check images. If this works, go back to your regular browser and clear the cache to eliminate the piled-up data that can cause the issue. If the same thing happens, I recommend using another supported browser or device. Might be that the current one you're using has a temporary issue with the program.

For reference, check this article: Connect bank and credit card accounts to QuickBooks Online.

However, if the issue persists, I suggest reaching out to our Phone support team to further investigate the root cause of why you can't see the bank images. Once connected, you can request a screen share session so they can review your account's setup.

It's also recommended to reconcile your account regularly to ensure the amounts match your real-life bank statements.

You can always count on me if you have other concerns about managing your bank accounts. Just post a comment below and I'll get back to help you.

The Farmers Bank

August 9, 2023

I appreciate you for sharing the bank's name, tweb.

I've searched our system for any related issues about being unable to view checks' images in Farmers Bank, but I haven't found any.

Usually, QuickBooks automatically attach your check images when downloading your bank transactions. Otherwise, your bank isn't supported. If this isn't the case, I suggest performing the solutions shared with my colleague.

In case none of these resolve the issue, I recommend contacting our QuickBooks Support Team. They have tools to determine what's causing the problem and provide fixes.

Here's how:

  1. Go to the Help (?) icon at the top.
  2. On the Assistant tab, click Talk to a human.
  3. Enter your concern in the Type something field, then click the Send icon.
  4. Click on I still need a human.
  5. Select Get help from a human.
  6. You can either select Chat with us or Have us call you.

Furthermore, match the downloaded bank and credit card transactions to ensure you put them in the correct accounts and avoid duplicates.

Please keep us posted if you need additional assistance managing your bank data. We're always here to help you out.

I am having the same issue with TD Bank. This is extremely time consuming to manually input. As a non-profit we need to have documentation of al deposits.

I tried the outlined steps and it still happens.

I called and the person on the chat was unable to help.

Thanks for joining the thread and following the troubleshooting steps above, @305PinkPack.

This isn't the kind of service we'd want you to experience in QuickBooks. Since you're still experiencing the same issue, I suggest contacting our QuickBooks team again. They can verify where the problem is coming from and provide you with a fix.

Here's how to connect with them;

  1. Sign in to your QuickBooks Online company.
  2. Click Help (?).
  3. Select Contact Us and choose a way to connect with us:
    • Start a chat with a support expert.
    • Get a callback from the next available expert.

For now, let's manually attach your check images to your transactions on the Banking page. Ask for the file from your bank, then upload it to your computer. Then, follow these steps to upload the images:

  1. Sign in to your QBO company and go to the Transactions menu.
  2. Select Bank transactions, then click your connected bank account.
  3. Go to the For review tab and select your transaction to collapse its view.
  4. Click Categorize, then select Add attachment.
  5. Look for the check images on your computer and click it. Once done, select Open.

After that, you can continue categorizing your downloaded transaction and repeat the steps for other transactions. For the final steps, reconcile your accounts to match your bank and credit card statements.

If you have further questions about downloaded check images or managing your downloaded transactions, post them again in this thread. I'll be here to help. Have a good one!
