Why is my income showing up as negative. I had to import last years bank statement into quickbooks and everytime i catagorize something as income is shows as an expense. So now it looks like i made -$$$,$$$ money last year. Please help

You'll want to ensure you've categorized the transactions to the correct category. It could be you've categorized the income transaction as spent. Thus, it shows expense in your QuickBooks Self-Employed (QBSE) account.

 

If this is not the case, I recommend contacting our Support team to investigate this. They have the tools to securely check your account and look into the cause of this. 

 

To reach out to them, you can follow these steps:

 

  1. Go to the Assistant menu.
  2. Type Talk to a human.
  3. Then select either Message an agent (Live chat), Call an agent, or Get a callback.
