Question

Why is there no report that shows the description entered on each line when splitting an imported bank transaction?

I never cursed before I used QBO.  What good is this field if there isn't a d@mn report that shows what was entered on the individual lines.  You could get that in Desktop.  This is just the worst software ever.

We understand the importance of being able to effectively track your split transactions in QuickBooks Online (QBO). Please know that we do not want you to experience any issues carrying out activities within the program. Allow me to provide some information regarding this subject.

When you run a report, the memo of the transaction will appear in the allocated field rather than the splits' descriptions. You can only view the descriptions of the splits by clicking on their links to see the details.

If this is something we can improve in the future, please feel free to send a feature request to our product developers. They are always open to new ideas and will certainly take your input into consideration for product improvements. Here's how:

@TH76RE: I never cursed before I used QBO...

Studies show that continual cursing while using QBO is not only an appropriate response, but it relieves stress and contributes to a longer life.

Still, ditching it and using QB Desktop, where (among other things) you can see the descriptions you input on reports, has an even bigger positive effect.
