Are you talking about your merchant services deposit? Mine hasn't gone through today either.

Yes, I got a message that the deposit was delayed.  No explanation.  Spoke with Customer Service and they said it appeared to be a computer generated issue that has hit the system .  No other info. or time when it would be corrected.  Nothing else to do .

Well at least I know it isn't just my business.  They seriously didn't give you any other information? That is completly unacceptable.  Being a small business during the currently econonic conditions caused by the global pandemic is hard enough.  Not being able to pay our bills, suppliers and workers due to what is apparently a computer glitch is ridiculous.  Someone needs to be addressing this immediately. At this point I'm ready to just have my client cancel the transaction with her bank, write me a check, and close my QB account.  I pay an exorbitant amount of fees to have to tell my clients a week before Christmas that I may not be able to pay them.

Good morning, @airfx

It's great to see a new face here in the Community. I'd be glad to offer some assistance with your delayed deposit question. Helping out with deposits are my specialty.

Since your deposit is taking longer than usual, here are a few things you can do:

Step 1: Check the transactions in the batch

Sometimes a batch that includes a refund, return, or credit, can delay the deposit for up to six calendar days, if:

  • Sales that we already deposited to your bank are processed.
  • The total of the return, refund, or credit may be more than the threshold for your business. Note: In a single deposit it shouldn't be more than $100.

Step 2: Reach out to your bank

In some circumstances, banks will hold onto funds after we deposit them. The reason for this is that you may need to take some additional required steps with your banks. I recommend reaching out to them.

In the end, you can always contact our Merchant Services Support Team. They have advanced tools to help look further into the system to see why your deposit is delayed. Here's how:

  1. Go to the Help icon in the top right-hand corner.
  2. Click the Contact Us button.
  3. Type in Delayed Deposit and then hit Let's Talk
  4. Scroll down and choose to Get a callback

It's that easy. For future reference, you can always check the deposit speed in your QuickBooks Online (QBO) for helpful information on where your money is.

After reviewing these details, you should have a better understanding of why your money is being delayed. It's my priority that you're able to get back to running your business. I'm only a post away if you need me. Have an amazing Wednesday!

Strangely we've also seen a couple of deposits get delayed in the past 24 hours. It seems like there's a QBO glitch, because our deposits go through every single day without issue.

I’ve now been talking to QB for over a hour and a half and via three different departments trying to sort this out. Online support referred me to payment support who referred me to operational support. This is ridiculous.  My client is upset as the funds have been removed from her bank, my workers are upset because they were to be paid today, and I can’t pay my bills. This is not how you treat long time customers!

we are dealing with the same thing and the reason codes are unacceptable to say the least....
