The pop-ups are intended to help users steer QBO more efficiently. If the pop-ups are interfering with your business, I recommend clicking the X or No, thanks buttons to remove them.

Concerning the customers names, you can mark them as inactive if you want them out on your customer's list. 

Here's how:

1. Go to the Customers tab from the Sales menu.
2. Click the customer's name to open their profile.
3. Select Make inactive from the dropdown ▼ next to Edit, then click Yes, make inactive to confirm.
