Zelle's transactions don't appear with the memo I put on the bank's side. No update in QB

Thank you for visiting the QuickBooks Community again, izenith. I'll share information on how bank transactions work in QuickBooks. Then, I'll ensure that Zelle's transactions appear with the memo in QuickBooks Online.

 

The downloaded data in QuickBooks Online depends on what your bank shares with us and how they're posted online. Also, you'll have to make sure that you customize the Banking page and checkmark the Copy bank detail in memo box so the memo details from the bank appear on QuickBooks.

 

Here's how:

 

  1. Click the Banking menu on the left panel.
  2. Choose Banking. Then, choose a specific bank account.
  3. Click the small gear icon and checkmark the Copy bank detail in memo.
  4. Click anywhere to save the changes.

 

If the issue persists, I recommend double-checking the mapping of your transactions in your Financial Institution (FI) and making sure that there are details entered in the Memo field to show up in the register.
