I hope you're doing fine, hello-anne-marie.

I've checked our records and haven't seen any open cases regarding the Bank of Ireland. If you're unable to reconnect your account, please make sure to check if you can log in to your bank's website without a problem. Then, review all the prompts and acknowledged them.

Otherwise, let's perform some troubleshooting steps on your browser. You may have some corrupted file cache that is causing this issue. To begin, open your QuickBooks Online account in a private browser or incognito. This mode doesn't save your browsing history.

Here are the keyboard shortcuts:

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl Shift N
  • Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl Shift P
  • Safari: Command Option P

Next, try to connect your bank. If it works, go back to your regular browser and clear its cache. Finally, restart your browser to refresh the settings.

Using a different supported browser is a good alternative too.

You also have the option to import your bank transactions manually. The steps are included in this article: Manually upload transactions into QuickBooks Online. If you ever encountered issues with importing the transactions, you can follow the troubleshooting steps here

Once the account is reconnected and you have all the transactions added in the Banking page, you can start categorizing and matching them.

Please let me know of the result after trying out the steps above. I'll be right here to help you out again. Stay safe!

HI there,

I tried your suggestion several times on the day the problem was occurring but nothing worked.  I cleared cache, rebooted, several times and still nothing so I left it for the day. I've just come back in and my bank account is now connected again!  Seems it may have been a QBO blip.

Many thanks for your help.
