Bank of Ireland Linked Account. Editing my connection and adding an account not working?

I have a Bank of Ireland linked account. Within this connection I am connected to accounts, 1 credit card and one current account. I then went back in to add another current account which I didn't select in the first connection. I'm getting no errors and everything is reconnecting but my third account is not showing in Quickbooks.

Hi there, Monica. Let's first verify whether the account is a subaccount of another account. Then, we can disconnect and reconnect your bank to refresh the connection.

Before anything else, please know that QuickBooks relies on your bank's permissions and what they provide. You can only connect the parent account or its subaccounts, but not both. That said, choose the appropriate option based on how your financial institution sends downloaded transactions.

Additionally, I recommend contacting your financial institution to confirm whether they provide online services for that specific account.

Once you've verified these details, let's disconnect and reconnect the bank feed to refresh the connection and pull in the new account.

To disconnect a bank account, please follow these steps:

  1. Go to the Transactions menu, then select Bank Transactions.
  2. Click on your preferred bank tile.
  3. Select the pencil icon and choose Edit account info.
  4. Put a checkmark in the Disconnect this account on save box.
  5. Hit Save and Close.

To reconnect your bank accounts, please refer to this article: Connect bank and credit card accounts.

For future reference, you can use these resources as a guide to help you categorize your transactions and reconcile your accounts:

Disconnecting and reconnecting your bank feeds refreshes the connection, and verifying with your financial institution is the best approach. If you have any other concerns, please add a comment below.
