Let's work together to address the problem with your credit note taking 2 to 3 minutes to save and the line items disappearing when reopening the credit note, preventing you from making revisions, Accounts593.

First off, the behavior you're experiencing with your credit note could be a browser-related problem. Sometimes, excessive cache files cause unexpected behavior in the program.

To resolve this, we can perform basic troubleshooting steps. Start by logging in to your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account using a private or incognito window. Depending on your browser, you can use the following keyboard shortcuts:

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Microsoft Edge: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Safari: Command + Shift + N

Then, attempt to open the credit note again and check if the line items are now visible. If they are, return to your default browser and clear its cache to refresh the system. Alternatively, you may consider using other supported browsers.
