Hi there, info-sevens-ie.

Thank you for visiting the QuickBooks Community. I'll be sharing details on how your QuickBooks account works. Then I'll make sure you can get your old one back so you can start recording entries.

When your account is closed due to cancellation, we keep your data or keep your transactions for 365 days or one year. That being said, you can reactivate your old account at any time within the specified timeframe to get it back and begin tracking invoices.

Here's how to reactivate:

  1. Sign in to your QuickBooks Online company. Then, make sure to use the same log in credentials.
  2. Click the Gear icon ⚙.
  3. Under Your Company, select Account and settings.
  4. Go to Billing & subscription and select Resubscribe.
  5. Select the appropriate payment method.
  6. Enter the updated payment and billing information.
  7. Click Resubscribe.

Then, billing for all QuickBooks Online accounts happens overnight. That said, the charge will not occur until after midnight. For example, if you resubscribe on 01/06/2023, the next charge date would be 02/06/2023, and the charge would occur very early on 02/06/2023.

However, if your account is already canceled for one year, you're unable to get your old account back. You'll have to subscribe to a new one.

Lastly, I'm adding this article to see various features you can use and how to utilize them while working on your business using QBO: Help guide for QuickBooks Online. It contains topics about accounting, banking, and payments to name a few.

If you still have questions related to QuickBooks subscription, don't hesitate to let me know by adding a comment below, info-sevens-ie. I'm always here to help. Have a good one!
