Hi David46!

Let me explain and help you in linking a bank account.

It depends on your bank's set up how you can link the accounts to QuickBooks Online. For joint and subaccounts, you only need to link the parent account if all transactions from the subaccounts are downloaded to the parent. QuickBooks Online won't allow you to connect both parent and subaccounts.

Please check this link: About bank or credit card subaccount setup. This will explain more the things to remember when linking bank accounts with subaccounts.

Need help in reviewing the downloaded transactions? Check this article: Categorise and match online bank transactions in QuickBooks Online.
