We'll copy the URL for your bank and utilize it when connecting it to QuickBooks Online (QBO), Amanda. Allow me to guide you through the process of completing this task.

To begin, go to your bank's website and copy the listed URL, Once you have the information handy, let's head to the Bank transactions screen to link the account.

Here's how:

  1. Navigate to the Transactions menu on the left panel and select Bank transactions
  2. Select Connect  account  (first bank set up) or Link account if you already created one.
  3. On the Connect an account screen, enter the URL you've copied and enter it in the Search field.
  4. Log in to your account and type your banking credentials.
  5. Click the Continue button to proceed.
  6. Follow the on-screen steps to connect. Your bank may require additional security checks. It may take a few minutes to connect.
  7. Choose the account you wish to link and make sure the account type matches the one in your chart of accounts.
  8. Set the period you want to download the entries.
  9. Click Connect

Next, download the latest transactions. For detailed instructions, perform Step 2 in this article: Connect bank and credit card accounts to QuickBooks Online

Now that you have all your data in QBO, categorise them to the correct account to keep your records organized. Alternatively, use bank rules to speed up the categorisation process. Also, reconcile the account regularly to stay on top of your records.
