Emirates NBD - Something unexpected happened and we couldn't connect to your bank. Try again in a few hours. (101)

Hello,

I am unable to connect to my bank in the United Arab Emirates (Emirates NBD).

Quickbooks asks me for all my credential, but when I select Token or SMS (Two-Factor Authentication), I have the following error message :

Something unexpected happened and we couldn't connect to your bank. Try again in a few hours. (101)

I contacted my bank and asked them if there is a setting to activate, this is their reply :

Apologies but kindly note that currently SmartBusiness is not supported on any Accounting Software. You may liaise with your vendor for the same.

Can somebody confirm that Emirates NBD (SmartBusiness) does not support any Accounting Software ?

I understand from other posts that some people were able to connect to their account.

Thank you for your support.

Hi poweredbyfreedom,

We can connect to a bank account as long as it can be searched on the Banking page in QuickBooks. However, we cannot guarantee a seamless connection for bank accounts with added security, such as 2-factor authentication. And for this reason, I recommend uploading your transactions instead.

Here's an article for your reference: Manually upload transactions into QuickBooks Online.

The article also has hyperlinks for categorizing transactions and reconcilion.

Should you have any other questions in mind, feel free to reply to this thread. Have a good one!

You're most welcome, poweredbyfreedom.

Feel welcome to swing by anytime if you have other QuickBooks questions or concerns. This way, we'll be able to further assist you.

Additionally, once done downloading your bank transactions in QuickBooks Online, you can start categorising them. Doing so helps ensure your books are accurate.

Have a great day ahead!
