Hello. I have requested an accounting firm to setup my quickbooks for me however they do not recommend connecting my POS and Bank to quickbooks. I need a second opinion

I have a cafe and will be using the Accrual accounting philosophy. They prefer having everything done manually when I prefer to automate the accounting process. I am worried that they only want me to do things manually so I would end up asking for their audit services, which is expensive, time consuming and confidential.

No wonder. If they want you to migrate data manually, that means they expect you to buy additional services from them. I would definitely recommend connecting QBO and POS.

It depends on whether you favor their suggestion not to link POS and bank to QBO. Since you've stated your intention to automate the accounting process, you can take advantage of connecting your bank account to our Online banking and integrating your POS to save time and reduce the need for manual data entry.
