Question

Hi, any idea why is my "Accept" button gray in Banking when I select multiple transactions (I'm using the filter Recognised). It's super annoying to "Match" one by one.

Hi there, hongkong1. I'm here to help you with accepting your transactions in batches.

QuickBooks Online (QBO) should allow you to accept multiple entries from the Banking page. Usually, a tab or menu is greyed out when a user doesn't have permission to act. To isolate the issue, open QuickBooks as a master admin or a user with access rights to categorise bank entries.

Once done, follow these steps to accept the transactions:

  1. Click on Transactions or Banking at the left pane.
  2. Go to the Banking page.
  3. Select the transactions from the For Review tab.
  4. Hit on Accept.

In case you're getting the same result, I suggest performing the steps using a private window. It's the best place to check if the browser you're using affect the issue.

To save you time, use either of these keyboard shortcuts:

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl Shift N
  • Safari 11 or newer: ⌘ Shift N
  • Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl Shift P
  • Microsoft Edge: Ctrl Shift P

If it works fine, go back to your original browser and clear its cache to start fresh. You can also use another supported and up to date browser to narrow down the result.

After categorising your bank transactions, you can reconcile your account to keep your books and balance in place.

Please let me know how else I can help you with accepting your bank transactions. I've got your back and am always happy to help. Wishing you a good one!
