Hello there, @GrantBradley.

Let's go to the Banking menu to unlink your bank account and manage your financial data in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

Before doing so, please note that when you disconnect an account from online banking, QuickBooks deletes transactions that still need to be categorised in the For review tab. If you decide to reconnect, these transactions might appear again or not, depending on the date you want your data to download.

Whenever you're ready to unlink, follow the steps below:

  1. Go to Bookkeeping, select Transactions, then choose Banking, or go to the Banking menu.
  2. Select the tile for the bank account.
  3. Click the pencil ✎ icon, then select Edit account info.
  4. Select the Disconnect this account on save checkbox. Note: If QuickBooks is downloading new transactions, you won't see this option. Wait a few minutes for the update to finish, and try again.
  5. Select Save and Close.

Also, I encourage you to reconcile your accounts in QBO regularly (every month). This helps monitor your income and expense transactions and detect possible errors accordingly. You may want to check out this article as your reference to guide you in doing and fixing reconciliations in QBO: Learn the reconcile workflow in QuickBooks.

Please let me know in the comments if you have other concerns about managing accounts and online banking transactions in QBO. I'll gladly help. Take care always, @GrantBradley.
