I can gladly share how to delete an account in QuickBooks, Althommee.

 

When it comes to deleting an account in the Chart of Accounts, the sole possibility is to make it inactive. Instead of deleting them, QuickBooks enables you to mark them inactive to ensure that past transaction data remains accessible for reporting purposes.

 

Here's how: 

 

  1. Proceed to Settings ⚙ and choose Chart of Accounts.
  2. Find the account you want to delete.
  3. Click the Action ▼ dropdown and select Make inactive.

 

If you are referring to canceling your account subscription in QuickBooks Online, the process may vary depending on where you initially signed up for your subscription. If you directly subscribed through us, you can follow the steps outlined below:

 

  1. Sign in to the Intuit Account Manager.
  2. Navigate to the menu screen and select the gear icon to reach the Settings page.
  3. On the Settings page, select your email.
  4. Select Manage your Intuit account.
  5. Choose Products & Billing, then select your company name.
  6. Find the product you wish to cancel, then select Cancel subscription.
  7. You’ll see a multiple-choice survey on why you're canceling your subscription. Once you’ve filled it out, select Continue to cancel.
  8. You’ll see a page that details product benefits, and the last day you'll be able to use your subscription. Select Continue to cancel.
  9. You’ll see a pop-up confirming your subscription is canceled. Click Got it.
