I totally get how tough it can be to deal with missing bank statements for reconciliation, especially after a disconnection. But no worries! I’m here to help you sort this out.

In QuickBooks Online, if you lose your connection to a bank account, you shouldn't permanently lose any previously synced data. When you reconnect, QuickBooks can usually pull in historical data, but this may depend on the bank's rules about data access.

To fix the issue of missing 8 months of data: Check the connection settings to make sure everything is set up correctly. Also, confirm that the date range for importing data includes the missing months.

If you can't get the data back through QuickBooks, you can manually upload the missing bank statements using the File Upload option in the banking section.

After completing the following procedures, you can proceed to categorize them. For guidance on how to match transactions from the Banking page, refer to this guide for more insights: Categorize online bank transactions in QuickBooks Online

You can use csv2qbo converter tool as a workaround. It's $60 one time license.
