You're in the right place, Robert.

I'm here to give you detailed steps to link your bank account in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

Please know that you can find the option to link your financial institution in QBO in the Bank Transactions section.

Here's how:

  1. In the left panel, click Transactions.
  2. Select the Bank transactions option.
  3. Choose Connect account if this is the first bank account you've set up. Or a Link account if you already have one.
  4. Look for your bank by entering the name in the provided search field.
  5. Sign in using your bank username and password. Once done, click Continue.
  6. Follow the on-screen steps to connect. Some banks require additional security checks. A few minutes will take before it connects.
  7. After that, choose any accounts you want to connect. Like your savings, checking, or credit card. Then, select the matching account type from your QuickBooks Chart of accounts.

You can read this article for more info: Connect bank and credit card accounts to QuickBooks Online.

Also, some financial institutions have multiple bank names or different types of accounts. Make sure to select the correct one.

If your bank's name doesn't show up, you can see what to review below:

  • Verify the spelling of your bank is correct.
  • Use a specific name when searching your bank.
  • Enter your bank's URL in the search field.
  • Look for the name of the bank that issued your card.

After this, if the same scenario happens, we can request your bank's support to be part of our participating financial institutions. You can read this article for detailed steps: Request support for your bank.

In the meantime, you can manually upload your bank transactions from Dubai Islamic Bank to continue your daily banking tasks.

You might want to place your bank transactions in the correct accounts. Check out this article: Categorise online bank transactions in QuickBooks Online
