I have accountant accessibility for a client.  While we are working on his books together, his Quickbooks online does not show any details on the reconciliation page.  My accountant view shows all the details.  The client is doing the bulk of the  reconiling and can't see this. What is the problem

Hello, ML613.

I'm here to ensure you can view the information on the reconciliation page. Let's double-check your client access right. The client needs to log in as the Primary/Company Admin of the account. It is possible the user permissions may have been set to Basic or Custom. That's why you're unable to see the details on the reconciliation page.

For more details, check out this article: Different Levels Of Access For Firm Users. This link is specific to the UK region but applies to your country.

Once the client is verified as a Company/Primary admin, we can perform basic troubleshooting steps. At times, the accumulated cache in your browser causes unexpected behaviors to the product. Open the QuickBooks using the private/incognito browser.

  •  For Google Chrome browser: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • For Mozilla Firefox browser: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • For Safari browser: Command + Shift + N

Please clear your browser's cache once it works. See this article for further details: Clear cache and cookies to fix QuickBooks Online issues. Also, you can use another supported browser if you get the same result.

You may want to check this detailed article about Changing the Team Access right.

You can always go to Reconcile Workflow for further information. It contains detailed instructions about starting, resolving differences, and completing the reconciliation process.

That's it. Don't hesitate to post a reply below if you have other questions or concerns with your account. I'm always around and happy to help. Take care and stay safe!
