Hello, elizang.

Yes, you can undo the bank reconciliation for the last financial year in QuickBooks Online. However, I suggest reaching out to your accountant to assist with undoing the transactions. They have access to a special reconciliation tool that permits them to undo the entire period at once using QuickBooks Online Accountant.

Here's how to invite your accountant:

  1. Sign in to QuickBooks Online (QBO) as a primary admin.
  2. Select the Gear icon, then select Manage users.
  3. Hit Add user.
  4. Tap Company admin.
  5. Check This user is my accountant
  6. Press Next.
  7. Enter the accountant's name and email address, then choose Save.
  8. Let your accountant undo the entire reconciliation.

However, If you prefer to undo reconciled transactions on your own, you'll need to do it one at a time, here are the steps you can take:

  1. Go to Accounting.
  2. Select Chart of Accounts.
  3. Find your bank account from the list of accounts.
  4. Under ACTION, select View register.
  5. On the Check column, remove the status.
  6. Click Save.

On top of that, I've also included this reference for a compilation of articles you can use while working with us: Learn the reconcile workflow in QuickBooks.

If there's anything else that I can help you with, please let me know in the comments below. I'll be here to lend a hand. Have a great day!
