Hi there, @rtexelectronix. Allow me to share some steps to help you with authorising your bank account in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

To reauthorise it, you can disconnect and reconnect the account to online banking.

Here's how you can disconnect it:

  1. Go to the Banking menu or Transactions menu.
  2. Select the blue bank square for the bank account you need to disconnect.
  3. Select the Edit✎ icon in the tile for the bank account you want to update, then select Edit account info.
  4. Select the Disconnect this account on save checkbox.
  5. Select Save and close.

Once done, you can now reconnect it:

  1. Go to the Banking menu or Transactions menu.
  2. Select Add account or Link account.
  3. Connect your bank feeds to QuickBooks Online.

In case you encounter some open banking connection errors, you can read this article: How to fix Open Banking connection errors in QuickBooks Online.

I'll be here if you need anything else about authorising your bank account in QBO. Please don't hesitate to tag my name in the comment section below. Stay safe.

Good day. I had this same issue and tried the recommendation here, however when trying to reconnect the account I'm having an issue. The account is USD but my base currency is JMD. I had created a separate USD bank item on the chart of accounts but I'm not seeing that one in the list provided, only the JMD one. How can I link the bank account to the USD chart of accounts entry instead?

I see the challenges you've encountered in linking your bank account to the correct USD chart of accounts entry, Deron. Let's ensure everything is properly setup.

First, make sure the online banking link you used to connect your account is the same one you use to access your US account.

If the link is correct, let's proceed with some basic troubleshooting steps since your account hasn't been connected yet.

Log into your account using a private browser to verify your settings are set up correctly. You can use these shortcut keys on your keyboard to access incognito mode:

  • Safari: Control + Option + P
  • Google Chrome: Press Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Firefox or Internet Explorer: Ctrl + Shift + P

Once done, you'll want to go to your regular browser and clear its cache. This removes the cache data that's causing the issue. Though the problem can be caused by your browser itself, so you'll want to use other QuickBooks-supported browsers.
