Question

Why my bank balance (blue area) still in xero? I have done the reconciliation and no transaction left in 'For Review' and no discrepancy in my bank account.

Hi there. You've come to the right place to receive assistance with your banking inquiries in QuickBooks Online.

Prior to addressing your concerns, I would like to confirm a few details and provide you with a step-by-step troubleshooting procedure to help identify and resolve any potential issues. May I ask the name of your financial institution? This enables us to look into this matter more thoroughly to make sure the issue isn't coming from them.

In the meantime, you can your bank manually in the system to refresh its connection. Here's how:

  1. Open the Bank transactions menu and go to Bank transactions.
  2. Locate and select the bank account tile.
  3. Click on Update.

If the issue persists, I recommend performing some basic troubleshooting procedures to check if you're experiencing a browser-related problem. It's likely that a corrupted file cache stored in your browser caused this unusual behavior.

Let's start by opening your QuickBooks Online account on a private page or incognito. This mode won't save any browsing history. Here are the shortcut keys to open it:

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Safari: Command + Option + P

If you're able to proceed with ease, then you'll have to clear your browser's cache only. This avoids strange behavior on your web page.

Otherwise, use other compatible browsers for the best experience when using QuickBooks.
