Have been try to update the bank feed from my OCBC business account to no avail for the last 2 days. I have 2 QuickBooks online accounts and both are unable to bring in the bank feed from their respective OCBC accounts.

The system just say that there was an error and we try again in a few hours.

Anyone experiencing this too?

Let's get your account updated, Hvala.

So far, we haven't received similar issues reported for OCBCWe can perform a few manual updates to refresh the connection between your bank and QuickBooks Online. Here's how:

  1. On the left navigation menu, click Transactions and choose Banking.
  2. Select the respective Bank and hit Update in the upper right. QuickBooks begins updating your account.
  3. You can do this 2 or 3 times during non-peak hours.

However, if it's still not updating, you can use our WebConnect feature and manually import the transactions. Let me walk you through the process.

Step 1: Pick a start date:

  1. In QuickBooks, go to the Accounting menu and then select Chart of Accounts.
  2. Find the bank or credit card account you want to upload the transactions into.
  3. Select Account history.
  4. Find and write down the date of the oldest transaction. Usually, the oldest transaction is the opening balance.

Step 2: Get transactions from your bank:

  1. Sign in to your bank or credit card's website.
  2. Follow your bank's instructions for how to download CSV files of your transactions to your computer. Every financial institution has different steps.
  3. Make sure the date range for the download is at least one day before your oldest transaction.
  4. Download your transactions. Save the file somewhere you can easily find it, like your computer's desktop.

Once imported, I recommend editing, assigning, and categorising your transactions. Doing so will help you ensure the accuracy of your financial records.

Additionally, which bank are you having a problem with? Did you encounter any errors? If you have, the following articles list different bank error codes and detailed troubleshooting steps to resolve them:

I'm only a post away if you have any other questions about this topic or anything else you need help with QuickBooks. I'll be glad to share and provide further assistance whenever you need one. Have a nice day!

Hi Rose-A,

We have tried importing using method (1)  of updating multiple times the latest 2 days but were unable to do so. It is the usual method that we use but somehow it isn’t working now.

The other method you recommended isn’t really helpful as we will have to manually import the data from our bank whereas the usual method allows the transactions to be fed into QuickBooks automatically.

The error message given was (102). It is strange because 2 of our separate quickbook accounts are having the same issue. Both are trying to connect to different bank accounts too. Both are from OCBC bank, but different account numbers

I hear you, @gary1969a.

I want to ensure this matter is addressed timely so you can get your latest transactions from OCBC Business Banking updated in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

As of this time, the investigation regarding the inability to connect your account and update your transactions in QBO is resolved but the ticket is remained open to keep tracking unexpected integration connection problems. Rest assured our engineering team and together with our banking team is aware and they've been in all hands working to fix this as soon as possible.

Assuming you've been added to the list of affected users, I still recommend contacting our Customer Care Support whenever you're free while the workaround is not yet available. To do so:

  1. Go to Help.
  2. Select Search.
  3. Click Contact Us.
  4. Enter Unable to connect and update OCBC Business Banking in the What can we help you with? text area.
  5. Choose to start a chat and get connected with our specialists online.

For now, I'm including this reference so you're able to use QuickBooks features you're entitled to: Help Articles in QuickBooks Online. Also, you're able to read subtopics that will describe how a feature is used and how to accomplish tasks related to its functions like how an account reconciliation is accomplished.

We appreciate your patience as we're working on this banking integration and connection error. Please let me know in the comments below if you have any other questions. Take care and stay safe!
