Hello @jon100

Great to have you here in the Community today. We can start a manual download to see the latest available transaction from your connected bank account.

Here's how:

  1. Go to the Banking menu or Transactions menu.
  2. Go to the Banking tab.
  3. Select Update.

Should the downloads still seem slow or stuck, the issue may be on the bank’s end. I'd suggest you log in to your bank’s website to check your notification.

First, get the URL QuickBooks uses to connect:

  1. Go to the Banking menu or Transactions menu.
  2. Select Link accountNote: You won’t add an account, you just need the listed URL.
  3. Search for your bank and select it.
  4. Copy the URL listed for your bank.
  5. Sign in to your bank or credit card's website using the copied URL.

Once successfully logged in, check the following:

  1. Your account for messages, notifications, or alerts.
  2. Look for any display issues as you navigate the website. These can block QuickBooks from downloading new transactions.
  3. Check your bank’s website for any announcements about new security requirements.

You always have me here if you have additional questions. Take care always.

That's not the point. I'd like to understand when the API will be fixed. I saw in the forum that it seems that other users encountered the same issue starting 2022.

Thanks for the clarification, @Jon11_2

I'll make sure your question will addressed as soon as possible.

We have another dedicated team to handle any Application Programming Interface (API) concerns. With this, I'll redirect you to their page. This way, you'll know a precise time when their problem will be fixed.

Here's how:

  1. Go to the API website and click QuickBooks Online.
  2. Click Ask a Question
  3. Select Sign in if you already have an account or Create an account if you don't have one yet.
  4. Once your question is posted, one of our developers will answer your query about API.

Remember that you can always ask me about any topics or other processes within QuickBooks. Happy to provide answers. Take care.

Any solutions found? I still cannot connect after one month. Calling the QBO chatline and all they can say is check with your bank.

We currently have an ongoing investigation into why you can't connect your OCBC bank to QuickBooks Online (QBO). Our product engineers are currently working on it. We appreciate your patience as we investigate this further.

I'd also recommend contacting our Technical Support Team. This way, they’ll be able to add you to the affected users and notify you once a fix is available.

Here's how:

  1. Sign in to your QuickBooks Online account.
  2. Go to Help.
  3. Choose the Search tab and then click on Contact Us.
  4. Put in a brief description of your concern, and then hit Let's talk.
  5. Select Callback from the option.
  6. Enter your contact information and click Get a call.

Please ensure to review their support hours to know when agents are available. This way, you can contact them at a time that is convenient for you.

I'm also facing the OCBC business banking connection issue.. Everything was ok in July 2022 until today. I am able to login via OCBC BB website so credentials and account all OK. The issue must be on QBO side; unfortunately, QBO just returned error 106 and OCBC asked me to check with QBO.. Jeeezzz

Please have this fix asap, QBO team.. it's affecting businesses of your customers!

Is there any updates on this matter?

I appreciate you following up on this thread, edwinsim.

We're pleased to inform you that the issue has been resolved. The resolution has been implemented and everyone should be able to connect with OCBC bank.

To ensure it's fixed, we can perform a manual update to refresh the connection between your bank and QuickBooks Online. See the steps below:

  1. On the left navigation menu, click Banking.
  2. Choose Banking.
  3. Click on Update in the upper right. QuickBooks begins updating your account.

However, if you're still unable to connect, I'd suggest getting in touch with our QuickBooks Online Support for further investigation.

Additionally, we can bookmark the following article: What to do if you get a bank error or can't download transactions in QuickBooks Online. This will provide us with links and steps on how to handle banking errors.

Let me know if I can be of additional assistance while working with online banking in QuickBooks, edwinsim. I'll keep an eye out for your response.

I'm not sure what new "fixes" have been implemented but just to add on an update to my previous post

19 Sep 2022 - Some transactions up to 05 Sep was automatically updated. But I'm missing 5 other transactions that were supposed to be on 05 Sep as well. Transactions from 06 Sep to date is not being downloaded.

20 Sep 2022 - I'm back to square negative one now. After clicking on "Update", the page is loading but I'm not getting prompt to proceed to key in my OTP. It's been "loading" for the past 30 mins.

So all in all, whatever "fix" that has been implemented is NOT WORKING and it is WORSE. So please stop harping that everything is or should be working now because it is not. The very fact that we're still posting here should be a telltale sign that the issue is still there and more.
