Boosting Team Results
It's Friday!! Welcome everyone to the Talk About Your Business page. Are you excited about the weekend? I know I am. I can't wait to catch up on some shows I missed and be lazy for a few hours. Anyway, before you get ready to sign off for the day, I wanted to share this gem from Entrepreneur about maximizing team results by managing the whole employee. This was undoubtedly an interesting read. Here are some points they shared:

Individualized management
Personality-wise for someone who is an introvert when potentially getting a management position, they would have to come out of their shell more to lead the team. In another sense, if you are an extrovert, they may be moments where you have to tone it down a bit when communicating with others. Each person is unique. It is essential as leaders to take note of these things to understand your employees more. That way, you are better able to cater to their needs. The writer mentioned she video calls her staff individually to check in on them and see how everything is going as a way to learn about them more. You can use the opportunity to show gratitude and appreciation for them being apart of the team, especially during these challenging times.
Help
The author rightfully said, "Nobody knows every secret to leadership, nor do we have enough bandwidth to provide in-depth, individualized coaching." So, at times, if you genuinely don't know how to lead, be open to the process of learning. It is all about growth. The writer said that she had to hire an outside consultant to give her tips and guidelines to assist with her coaching skills to strengthen her and her team members. She even mentioned taking courses on how to build relationships and adjust her management style for each individual.
Evolve
There was an important point made by the author that stood out to me. She encourages leaders to use five minutes or so from every one-hour meeting to talk about life outside of the workplace. This is something I am planning on using in the future when I have presentations or discussions. It could also be used as a "breaking the ice" moment to help everyone relax in a newer setting. Maintaining relationships is the key element to any successful business. Your workers will feel more connected with you and be comfortable approaching you in any situation, which is always a plus.
