How to Attract Customer's Attention
Hey, you!.....Yes, you! Want to know how to attract and keep customers? If you continue reading, you can find a few easy ways to do this.
Hopefully, the above statement caught YOUR attention. We should have the same energy when dealing with our customers as well. Good afternoon, and welcome back to the Business Discussion Page. Today, I will be presenting three ways to attract customer's attention.
Freebies
Let be honest, we love to receive free gifts. So, why not reward your customers sometimes with this incentive. When giving something away, we want the customer to be reminded of your business each time they use it. The idea is for customers to view this as a valued item and useful. Even though it may not cost you as much, let it align with your business's image. Here are some examples that could be helpful:

Even though it may not cost you as much, let it align with your business's image. Here are some examples that could be helpful:
- If you have a musical store, offer a free music lesson.
- If you own a handmade soap business, give free samples of your products.
- Offer add-on services for free on certain days.
- For retailers that specialize in designs, you could have a sale where consumers purchase a shirt and get a free pair of socks or accessories.
And the list can go on and on. I recently ordered from a clothing company, and as a gift, they give me some cute hair accessories. Look how brilliant that gesture becomes, when someone asks about my hair clips, that business now received a free promotion and even a potential new buyer. These simple measures can indeed have a lasting impression on customers.
Feature what you're doing in your Community.
Assuming that you have a social media presence, try doing something that will show customers that you not only into "getting paid," but you want to give back to your community. You can even go a step further and use local or regional news outlets to share your story. Some ideas include:

- Revamp your local playground or park by painting the chairs, collecting the trash, or planting flowers if you're allowed.
- Reach out to local schools and host competitions to display students' talent or academic performances, and offer prizes for their achievements, such as a small scholarship, free dinner, or gift cards.
During my college days, there was a group of students who cleaned up a park and held a fun day kids' outing. Through this, our college was featured in newspapers, interviews were done, and free publicity was gained. My college received a lot of positive feedback and encouragement, which is why I believe situations like this will attract customers.
Flash Sale
Depending on the type of business you operate, doing something like this will immediately grab customers' attention. A flash sale is a special discount for specific items for a limited time. When you advertise, customers will rapidly spread the word causing an increase in traffic to your website and boosting sales. This can be especially helpful if you have a lot of inventory that you need to get rid of. An example of a flash sale advertisement can be "30% off everything + free shipping. 3 hours only!”. This reflects all the three aspects of a flash sale: the discount, the items, and the time.
