We made it! It's the end of the first week of 2023. With that, I want to leave you with an article I read on entreprenuer.com that covers SWOT analysis for small business marketing. Let's take a look...

If you're not familiar SWOT stands for Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats. This is a great analysis to practice for many aspects of your business, but as I mentioned, this article focuses on marketing.

Strengths
It's time to start asking some questions. What are the areas in which your marketing campaign is excelling? Why is your marketing campaign excelling? Consider factors such as customer satisfaction and why they're being drawn to your campaign, as well as financial aspects.

Weaknesses
The analysis is done so you can move forward and improve. To improve you'll need to identify some weaknesses. "Take into account why customers may not be returning, what parts of your marketing budget are limited, and what is making you fall behind your competitors. In short, ask yourself what you can improve in your marketing efforts."

Opportunities
Take some time to recognize available opportunities for your marketing strategy. "How can you enhance this message even further? Are there more platforms on which to launch your campaigns and acquire more exposure? Do newer and more effective technologies exist to improve your brand?"

Threats
Lastly, are threats that can hurt your marketing strategy. Some threats to be on the lookout for may include changes to the economy, new and changing trends, and so on. If you make yourself aware and know what to look for, you can plan and react accordingly so your marketing strategy doesn't take a blow.

SWOT requires critical thinking and evaluation skills, causing you to take a more in depth look at the topic being analyzed. You're likely to notice a few things that you hadn't before and that's always a great catalyst for growth. Have you used SWOT analysis before? What areas has it helped your business?
