Rebranding Your Business
Good afternoon businessmen and women! How is everybody today? I hope you're doing great. I hope your business is great too! But, if it's not as great as it could be, maybe it's time to rebrand? I read an article earlier this week from copyblogger.com that covered this topic. Here are a few of the key points...
First of all, how do you know it's time for a rebrand? These are a few clues:
Your brand is attracting the wrong people
Businesses change over time. The products and services, vision, and mission, all of it. "If your brand doesn’t say what YOUR business [currently] does, start fresh. Who do you help and how can you describe that?"

Your brand is outdated and irrelevant
Good news is brands don't have an expiration date, however they can still become outdated, especially if it's really been a while since you took a good look at it. Sometimes you don't even have to do a complete rebrand! Maybe just a new tagline or logo. "If it’s saying what you want it to say, excellent. But if it’s communicating something else entirely, that’s a red flag that means it’s time to rebrand your business."

Your business has moved beyond your original brand
The author of the post mentions a good point. She compares a messy brand to a messy home, you aren't going to share it or invite others over if it's a mess! "You don’t feel like sharing it because it’s not a positive reflection of you and what you do. Your brand should make you feel like you want to stand up straighter and share it loud and proud. You should feel excited to share it!"

If these points sound like a good description of you and your business, it's definitely time for a rebrand! Moving forward some things to consider include:
- Redefining your brand personality and ideal customer
- Working on your new verbal and visual brand
- Updating brand mentions on your website
- Introducing your new brand to your email list
