Welcome back to the Business Discussion Board. On a scale of 1 to 10, with ten being the best, how would you rate your leadership?  I don't know about you, but I like to strive to be better each day. There are always ways to improve oneself, and today I found an article about self-improvement strategies that can help you become a better leader. I believe this can benefit you, as well. Here is what they had to say:

Solicit feedback
Do you ever wonder what others think about your leadership? Well, the writer encourages us to ask our peers, employees, or managers often what they think about your leadership. Although you might receive a lot of positive feedback, accept those that may not be so positive. You don't have to become defensive, simply listen, and make changes to grow.

Find an opportunity
At times, plans may not necessarily go as intended, which can create a negative environment. Instead of sulking or getting upset, find an opportunity that you may not have seen to achieve the goal.

Know your reputation
The writer advises us how essential it is to know your character and reputation because it shows everyone what you stand for. The author also mentioned that a 360-degree feedback assessment could find blind spots, allowing you to focus on your own development.

Own your mistakes
Pride can be a powerful trait that can make and break you in a situation. For example, you can take pride in accomplishing an achievement, such as a degree. But starting to display a show-off gesticulate is when it becomes a problem. Rather than being prideful, if you make a mistake, don't be afraid to apologize because you assume others will think less of you. In any case, they would appreciate that because it shows your strength and that you can be vulnerable.

Be consistent
Simply put, do the right things all the time, even if no one else supports you. In my mother's great words growing up, I trained you to be a leader, not a follower.

Be open to new ideas
If you formulate an idea that you believe will take the business further, share your thoughts with other peers, and take the time to listen to theirs as well. As the saying goes, "Two heads are better than one."Have you tried any of these strategies?

If so, please tell us if this helped improve your leadership by commenting below. We will appreciate that! Until then, be safe and be well, my Community friends.
