Supporting Each Other
Welcome back to the Community! One day closer to the weekend and I'm thrilled already. How about you? Anyhow, the word "Support", has been on my mind to speak about for the discussion page. Especially seeing that we are all sort of small business owners here, forming connections can be advantageous. But before I get into details, feel free to drop the name of your business, what your company does, and where you are located below. I'm going to give you my top three ideas for how we can help each other's businesses grow.
Collaborations:
This can be an excellent means by which both companies can get exposure and attract new consumers. For example, let's say your customer wants a particular item or is looking for a recommendation. It could be as easy as saying, "Hey, I know this great company we have been working with, and they have exactly want you are looking for, and here is their information."
You want to be honest and actually use their services at one point because your customer would most likely trust your judgment and expect a good customer service experience. Also, sharing support for one another on social media can produce a lot of opportunities, such as generating new products or services.
Opportunities:
Stemming from the first idea, if an opportunity presents itself and your business may not have the resources or means to render services, recommending another small company who can do these things can build a stronger relationship and support system. With this, trust would play a factor because it is the very thing you need to believe if they were in the same situation, that they would have done this for you.
Being Open to Sharing Resources:
Sharing workspace or equipment can lower overhead costs while increasing production activities. A concept could be setting up a shipping site where a company that sells customized shirts can work with a cosmetic business and export its products worldwide. Even though this might look like an attractive plan in theory, a confidentiality agreement or a contract would need to be implemented to sustain success and protection.
What are your thoughts? Do you agree or disagree? Leave your comments below. I would love to hear your perspective. And as always, continue to be safe and be well my Community friends.
