The Right Decision?

Hello, my Community comrades, and welcome back to our discussion page. This question has been lingering in my mind, and I'm intrigued to know your thought process. How do you know that you are making the right decision? Not only in the business aspect but overall in everything you do.

This week, I had many hard decisions to make that could potentially be life-changing, both business-wise and personally. With these changing environments, I had to lay out all options. Can I juggle working full-time, managing a small business, taking care of my family, helping my siblings with homework, and still have time to focus on myself or my social life? Phew, that was a lot to digest. Anyhow, I figured I could share with you my process of deciding what's best.

The first thing I do is research. I can not stress how important this is. I would take a week or so (depending on the situation, it may be more) and dive in to gain knowledge and understand the various topics and conditions. Since I'm more knowledgeable about the subject, I would organize a Pro and Con list. On one side, I add positive outcomes that I find very important and negative on the flip side. I'm sure to incorporate external or internal factors that could boast or interfere with my goal.

Then, I imagine worst-case scenarios and think of ways to counteract this. You know, with some people, you would need to see things to understand the concept visually. This is me! I am a part of those people. This way, I can recognize a more straightforward route of how this could turn out.

Third, I would consult or share my ideas to get a different perspective. Sometimes, you can be so caught up that you didn't take a moment to step outside of the box. The aid of a friend or family could help clarify or add some things you missed. After this, I gather all that I have found and base my decision. I'm not going to lie, sometimes decisions may not go your way, or they do work out, but one quote that gets me through it all is this" You have to trust that no matter what, you will figure it out."

Could you share some of your tips when making the right decisions? We look forward to seeing your comments!!! Until then, continue to take care and be safe, my Community friends.

The best thing I have found for making good decisions is trying to take in more information, typically information from sources that have formally studied the topic or have real experience. What good is advice from someone who's never started a business on how to start a business? What good is relying on my own limited perspective? Taking the time and effort to learn as well as engage new information, even if it conflicts with my current understanding, builds a more well-rounded assessment.

Secondly, reflecting on decisions I've made and being open to self-critique. If you can say every decision you've ever made was the best possible, you're missing out on the infinite improvement made available by reflection.

Lastly, when trying to determine if you should do something. Take in as much information as possible to determine if getting a taste is safe, and once it is, take a bite. Want to get a crypto wallet? Research, find consensus on a safe one, download or purchase and follow instruction for setup. Want to trade crypto? Research the means, set a limited budget, and trade buy and sell an amount you don't mind losing. $5, $100? Want to learn how to trade better? Research trading methods, try technical trading, trade your budget, reflect and keep learning.
