Has anyone lost certain categories from the interface of the app and not having their tasks pulled from the bank?

I know the troubleshooting steps to help fix this category and banking issue in your QuickBooks Online (QBO) app, userlaura1. I'll guide you through the process.

 

Recently, we've received similar reports about missing categories using an iOS device. However, it's already been closed and resolved. Since you're experiencing the same scenario, I'd recommend clearing your app data to refresh the system and remove older files that cause this behavior. 

 

If you're using an Android device, here's how:

 

  1. Go to the More icon at the top right corner of the screen.
  2. Choose Settings.
  3. Select Refresh Data and choose Yes.

 

If you're using an iOS device, here's how:

 

  1. Go to your phone's Settings.
  2. Select General, then choose iPhone Storage.
  3. Tap QuickBooks Online from the application list.
  4. Select Offload App to free up the storage without deleting the documents and data for the app.

 

On the other hand, you can log in to your account via a web browser and check the connection between your bank and QuickBooks. If it's expired, QuickBooks is unable to bring in transactions until you reconfirm your consent. From there, you can also go around the Banking or Transactions menu for updates and review your account history. This way, you're able to download the most recent transactions to your account.

After that, access your QBO app and complete your tasks.

 

Moreover, I'd recommend reconciling your accounts regularly (whether through the app or the web browser) to ensure the accuracy of your financial data.
