Hello, My category list is not showing up on my desktop but it is on my phone. Im trying to edit a category - change it from income to expense. Thank you

It's my priority that you change the category type from income to expense.

 

Let's go through some basic troubleshooting steps to get the category list to appear in QuickBooks.

 

A cache full of history and temp files can cause unexpected results in the online program. You can open QuickBooks Online (QBO) via incognito mode or private browsing and edit the category from there. These browser sessions do not retain local files or cache, hence eliminating the potential of a webpage issue. 
 

The following are the shortcut keys for each browser:

 

  • Google Chrome: Press Ctrl + Shift + N.
  • Safari 11 or newer: Press ⌘ + Shift + N.
  • Mozilla Firefox: Press Ctrl + Shift + P.
  • Microsoft Edge: Press Ctrl + Shift + P.

 

If you can see the category list and update the type in a private window, clear your cache and cookies to improve the browser's overall performance. As an alternative, use a supported browser.
