Question

How can I add my Jersey address to my proadviser profile? It's not accepting the postcode and won't save anything unless the address is in?

Yes, finding an address using postcodes is available in QuickBooks, Alison.

QuickBooks has a link to Google Maps, where you can enter the postcode of the address you want to search. This link is located in the address section of the Customer and Supplier Information pages. To validate your address, I suggest visiting this link: https://www.postoffice.co.uk/postcode-finder.

Once verified, try performing some basic troubleshooting and enter the correct address again. You can use a private browser to verify if this is caused by the system or your browser.

You can use the keyboard shortcuts below:

  • Chrome: Ctrl+Shift+N
  • Firefox: Ctrl+Shift+
  • Safari: Command+Shift+N

Then, check to see if it works. If they are, then your main browser may have too much historical data from previously visited websites which slows down internal processes and causes this kind of behavior.

To ensure this doesn't happen again, it's a good idea to clear the cache of the browser you're using. The following article contains additional insight, as well as steps for the supported browsers: Clear cache and cookies to fix issues when using QuickBooks Online.

Once you have the new QBO account, you can read this article that will walk you through and guide you on different tasks for your account: Get started with QuickBooks Online.

Thank you but that was not my question at all.

The issue I am having relates to my ProAdvisor profile (as mentioned). Being in Jersey (Channel Islands) we fall under Quickbooks UK but Jersey isn't part of the UK, although it part of Great Britain. That is why only English counties are coming up as an option when I try and enter my address.

It will not let me save anything else in the profile until the address can save.

I appreciate for coming back for clarifications, Alison.

You're right that Jersey Channel Island is part of Great Britain (GB) and should be available in the selection list by adding the address to your pro-advisor profile.

Currently, the product is in the process of expanding its feature to comprehend what customer needs in the business. I understand how important the option is to be available on your subscription. Thus, I recommend sending this as a product suggestion to our engineering team to add your address to the list.

Here’s how:

  1. Go to the Gear icon.
  2. Select Feedback.
  3. Enter a brief description of your product suggestion.
  4. Click Next to submit feedback.

Feel free to add comments if you have more concerns about roles and access or any QuickBooks-related matters. I’m always here to help. Stay safe!
