Thanks for getting back here, @IDUK. I want to make sure you can inactive customers with the last transaction older than 6 years.
In QuickBooks Online (QBO), you can make multiple customers inactive by utilizing the Batch actions button on the Sales page. Since you still need to specify whose customers had the last transaction older than 6 years, I suggest running the Transaction List by Customer report. You can filter the report's date range to determine the customers you'll need to make inactive. This report will serve as your reference when you start to inactivate them in batch. Once you have the list of those customers, you can now proceed in making them inactive by following the steps outlined by my colleague, Kevin_C.
In case you want to have a list of your customers’ outstanding balances to see how much are still due and how long they're past due, you can run the Accounts Receivable ageing summary report.
